Eva Perrigo, CTC, CSAT
Eva Perrigo, owner of Star Dog Training, is a Certified Dog Trainer and Behavior Counselor as well as a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer. Her methods are Force-Free, meaning she does not employ the use of pain, fear, or intimidation. She uses scientific, evidence-based dog training. She handles all case types - from socialization, puppy training, basic training, group classes, to fear and aggression.
Eva is an Honors Graduate of the prestigious, world-renowned school, The Academy for Dog Trainers; a graduate of the gold standard in Separation Anxiety Certifications: Malena DeMartini’s Certification in Separation Anxiety; and a graduate of Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Course. She is a member of the Pet Professional Guild, an association for force-free pet professionals. She attends yearly continuing education seminars all over the country. Eva is also the Trainer and Behavior Consultant at Stray Hearts Animal Shelter in Taos, NM.
She has always been an animal lover and has worked professionally with dogs since 2010. She began her career working with dogs at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter, specifically with the Behavior Department in behavior modification for dogs considered "unadoptable." She started her business in Jackson, WY and has since relocated it back to Taos, NM.
